Atticus Finch
*Atticus is the father of Jem and Scout Finch. He's a single dad, and he's not like most dads. He wears glasses, he doesn't wrestle or play football or hunt like most of the other dads. He's a lawyer and he's defending a black man. He's wise, and smart and trys to teach his kids not to use their fist when they're mad, and to be smart about it.
*Atticus changes after the trial of Tom Robinson because he realizes that other people can't see past him being black even though he was innocent. Before the trial, he was sticking up for Tom because he knew he was innocent and after he realized people weren't going to accept it anyway. He defended Tom against racical prejudice.

This shows Atticus, because he realizes people shouldn't judge by the color of your skin.
